Floyd Rance is the other half of MVAAFF. Filmmaker first — festival builder second. When Barbados fell through after 9/11, they moved the idea to Martha's Vineyard and kept going. Twenty-plus years later, the same high school auditorium hosts Michelle Obama. That's not hype. That's persistence.
